1941

Our winery, built in 1941, is located in the town of San Sadurní de Noya, which is well-known as it is home to more than 80 cava producing companies. This is where we conjure all the necessary factors for producing a sparkling wine worthy of the best events.

1951

In the early 1950s, a young Victor Centellas started working as a winemaker for a famous cava winery of the town. At just 14 he began his career in the world of cava, learning of the secrets he needed to know for producing this sparkling wine. As of that moment, his desire for producing his own cava would gradually take on more importance.



1982

Making the most of having built a new home in 1982, he decided to build a small wine cellar in the basement of the house. This would be used as a laboratory, where he would test and put into practice the knowledge acquired during his youth. The result was a small amount of artisan cava, fully manufactured and with a very strong personality.

2002

The production of Mas Xarot cava is relocated to one of the most emblematic winery in the town, Cavas Monastell, one of the oldest in the D.O. Cava. This new cellar, with more than 75 years of history and an ageing capacity of more than half a million bottles, allows us to extend the ageing times of our cavas even further.


2018

With the entry to the company of the new family generation, a redesign of the entire Mas Xarot brand is also made, updating its image to the new times.

This new phase, much more focused on international commerce, allows our artisanal and family produced cavas to go further than ever, going from being local wines to being tasted beyond the European continent.
